I am incredibly bad at websites, as evidenced by the fact that the only updates on Chris Knauer dot com in the past few months have been apologies for my lack of updates. The fact that I never go to shows anymore, don’t listen to new music and have been reading Brothers Karamazov for approximately the last 100 years have really put a damper on the proceedings.

Someday I’ll write about something relevant, until then, allow me a “stuff I’ve been digging lately”, which I haven’t done in a long time (so spare your vitriol).

The aforementioned Brothers K - the deepest and most well drawn out characters of any book, the sequence starting with Mitya’s spree and ending with his interrogation is amongst the most compelling I’ve ever read.

Bonnie Prince Billy’s Lie Down in the Light - typically great Will Oldham, with incongruous clarinet flourishes, I cannot get enough.

West Wing - I take back everything negative I ever said.
